Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in casualty claims.
• Active adjuster licenses in various States.
• Willingness to obtain licenses within 90 days.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing property and casualty claims.
• Experience handling litigated matters and coverage cases.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims, directing outside counsel and vendors.
• Assists in identification of exposures and recommends solutions.
• Maintains knowledge of US, Canada and Puerto Rico laws affecting claims.
• Alerts management to changes in laws that impact the liability program.
• Interacts with field management, legal counsel, and insurers on claim status.
• Supervises vendors to ensure proper handling and cost containment.
• Recommends and sets reserves based on file developments.
• Investigates and resolves complex/high‑exposure claims.
