Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims; directs outside defense counsel, adjusters, experts and vendors.
• Assists Claims Manager in identifying exposures and recommending solutions.
• Must understand laws and regulations governing Property and Casualty claims in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
• Alerts Claims Manager to changes in laws that could impact Ryder’s liability program.
• Interacts with field operations, legal counsel, safety managers, customers and insurance carriers.
• Supervises outside vendors for investigations, cost containment, witnesses, and litigation management.
