Qualifications

• Licenses for various States required; obtaining licenses within 90 days is expected.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts complex claims; directs defense counsel, independent adjusters, experts and other vendors.
• Assists Claims Manager in identifying exposures and recommending solutions.
• Maintains comprehensive understanding of laws and regulations governing Property and Casualty claims in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
• Alerts Claims Manager to changes in laws that could impact Ryder’s liability program.
• Interacts with field ops, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, insurers, and claimants; supervises outside vendors as needed.
• Routinely communicates claim status with Law Department and field personnel; supports team on technical issues.
