Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in casualty claims.
• 7+ years of casualty claims experience.
• Adjuster licenses required for various States; licensing within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims, and directs outside defense counsel, independent adjusters, experts, and vendors.
• Assists Claim Manager in exposure identification and recommended solutions.
• Understand and apply applicable laws and regulations for Property and Casualty claims in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
• Alerts changes in laws impacting the liability program.
• Interacts with field operations, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, carriers, and claimants.
• Supervises vendors to ensure claims are handled per jurisdictions.
• Routinely communicates status with primary and excess carriers and reinsurers.
• Helps team members on technical issues and assists when the manager is absent.
• Recommends reserves to reflect probable ultimate payout.
