Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead high-profile civil contracting work in the Rosemont, IL area. You will oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety policies, and ensure projects meet schedule and budget targets.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of field supervision in heavy civil, transportation, or infrastructure projects, a proven leadership track record, and OSHA certification.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of field supervision experience in heavy civil, transportation, or infrastructure construction.
• Proven track record managing crews, subcontractors, and multiple project phases.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control.
• Excellent communication and leadership with collaboration and accountability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, field personnel, and equipment.
• Enforce company and project safety policies and procedures.
• Review drawings, specifications, and schedules to guide construction activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and owners to resolve field issues and maintain communication.
• Monitor quality control and ensure work meets design standards.
• Maintain daily reports, logs, and documentation.
• Participate in project planning meetings, progress reviews, and closeout activities.
