Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Senior Civil Structural Estimator to oversee and prepare lump sum, unit rate and cost plus estimates for proposals and projects. The role supports pre-construction activities and cross-disciplinary estimating efforts across multiple disciplines.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of estimating experience, including complex project bids, and are capable of training staff and maintaining the estimating database. Travel to diverse project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including estimating experience.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for proposals, projects, and studies.
• Coordinate and review estimates with Engineering Operations, Procurement and Construction.
• Direct, train and develop subordinates.
• Maintain the company estimating database.
• Provide technical advice to the Project Manager on estimates of varying scope and complexity.
• Assess estimate accuracy and recommend contingencies for different estimate types.
• Plan and manage estimating work packages to meet schedules and budgets.
