Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation in Minnesota seeks a Senior Civil Structural Estimator to oversee lump sum, unit rate and cost plus estimates for proposals and projects. The role supports project controls, change orders, and pre‑construction activities with multi‑discipline coordination.

Responsibilities include developing preliminary work packages, maintaining estimating databases, and advising Project Managers on estimate accuracy and contingencies. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant estimating experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements per policy.
• BS or MS in Construction Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimates on proposals, projects and studies with completeness and accuracy.
• Plan, coordinate, review, verify and analyze all aspects of estimates.
• Direct, train and develop subordinates in estimating techniques.
• Maintain the Company estimating database and coordinate with Engineering Operations, Procurement and Construction.
• Provide technical advice to the Project Manager across varying estimate scopes.
