Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks a Senior Mechanical Estimator in Minnesota to oversee lump sum, unit rate and cost‑plus estimates for proposals and projects. You will coordinate multi‑discipline estimating efforts and guide junior staff.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of estimating experience, a BS/MS in Construction Management, and strong skills in MS Office, with a focus on accuracy and value engineering. This is an on‑site role in Minnesota with ESOP benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience including estimating.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR).
• Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for proposals, projects and studies with complete content.
• Coordinate and review all aspects of estimates and their presentation.
• Direct and develop subordinate staff and maintain estimating database.
• Collaborate with Engineering Operations, Procurement and Construction on estimating factors.
• Provide technical advice to Project Manager across estimate levels.
