HBK Engineering, LLC is a Chicago-based civil/utility design firm seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Civil Engineering team. This role leads project managers, engineers, designers, and field personnel through design, modification, analysis, and constructability of utility systems, with oversight of risks, budgets, and schedules.

The position emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality solutions for complex projects across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program.
• 10+ years of relevant project management experience.
• Utility industry or design experience.
• CAPM / PMP licensure preferred.
• Experience leading an engineering design team through all phases of project designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and direct cross‑disciplinary teams on utility system design and project execution.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and cost estimates with senior management approval.
• Monitor productivity, quality, financial health, and progress across projects.
• Coordinate with sub‑consultants and clients on changes.
• Travel as required for project needs.
• Train and mentor project staff.
• Ensure safety compliance and program execution.
