Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager for a growing civil engineering practice in Maryland. The role leads the design and coordination of land development projects across residential, commercial and industrial sectors in the Washington DC and Maryland region.

You will manage projects from concept through permitting and construction, mentor engineers, and coordinate with clients and agencies.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer licence preferred.
• Experience managing land or site development projects.
• Experience leading civil engineering projects and technical teams.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of stormwater, grading, utilities and erosion-control design.
• Familiarity with Maryland Land Development and entitlement processes.
• Experience in Prince George’s County, Charles County or surrounding jurisdictions.
• Strong written, verbal and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Lead land development projects from concept to permitting and construction.
• Prepare and review site and subdivision plans for residential, commercial and industrial developments.
• Coordinate grading, drainage, stormwater, roadway and utility design.
• Oversee sanitary sewer, water, erosion-control and storm-drain plans.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, agencies and internal teams.
• Monitor entitlement and permitting processes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Review engineering plans and ensure quality-control standards.
• Interpret survey data, development regulations and jurisdictional requirements.
• Manage project schedules, technical deliverables and supporting personnel.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers.
• Support preliminary plats, rezoning applications and development approvals.
