Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee civil engineering and infrastructure projects from inception to completion in Bedfordshire. You will lead site teams, coordinate with subcontractors and clients, and ensure safety, programme, cost and quality targets are met.

The role requires strong contract administration experience, proven leadership, and the ability to manage multiple complex contracts while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Contract Manager or equivalent senior operational role within civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, processes and project delivery.
• Experience managing multiple projects, contracts or site teams.
• Good understanding of contract administration, commercial management, cost control and contractual risk.
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, labour and project resources.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects to deadlines.
• Commercial awareness with focus on profitability and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of multiple civil engineering and infrastructure contracts from mobilisation through to completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, specifications, programmes and budgets.
• Develop and monitor project delivery strategies, construction programmes and resource plans.
• Monitor project performance, identifying risks, delays and issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Managers, Site Engineers and subcontractors to ensure effective project delivery.
• Oversee project handovers, completion documentation and defect resolution.
