Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting an experienced Senior Estimator to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering projects across the North East. The role requires a strong background in civil engineering, groundworks and infrastructure, and the ability to lead tenders from enquiry to submission.

The successful candidate will manage tender preparation, review drawings, specs and contracts, produce detailed estimates, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and mentor junior

Qualifications

• Proven senior estimator experience in civil engineering/groundworks.
• Strong knowledge of roads, sewers, drainage and earthworks.
• Experience managing multiple tenders independently.
• Commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of tenders for civils and infrastructure.
• Review drawings, specs, scopes and contracts.
• Produce detailed cost estimates.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
• Identify risks and value engineering options.
• Handover successful tenders to delivery teams.
• Mentor junior estimators.
• Maintain estimating records and cost databases.
