About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee contract administration, risk management, and compliance for large-scale infrastructure projects within a Public-Private Partnership (P3) environment. This role is critical in ensuring that contract obligations are met, risks are mitigated, and disputes are effectively managed. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in the heavy civil construction industry and a deep understanding of P3 contractual frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks while proactively managing claims and disputes.
- Work closely with project teams, legal counsel, and senior management to interpret contract terms and resolve contract-related issues.
- Ensure proper documentation of contract changes, variations, and amendments.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and consortium partners, to ensure contractual alignment.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs) and contractual deliverables.
- Support procurement and negotiation processes to optimize contractual terms and conditions.
- Lead contract reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on contract management best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or legal background is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in contract management within the heavy civil construction industry, preferably within P3 projects.
- Strong knowledge of P3 project structures, contract models (DBFM, DBFOM, etc.), and risk allocation principles.
- Experience with FIDIC, NEC, or other relevant contract standards.
- Proven ability to manage complex contracts and resolve disputes effectively.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
