Overview:

Our client is one of America’s leading construction companies, delivering large-scale, complex civil infrastructure projects across the United States. With over 100 years of experience, the organisation has played a key role in developing the country’s transportation systems, including highways, bridges, rail, airports, and water infrastructure.

As part of continued growth, they are seeking a Contract Manager to support major infrastructure projects and strengthen their contractual and commercial capability on-site.

The Opportunity:

The opportunity is for an experienced Contract professional to join a major infrastructure programme based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

You will play a key role in identifying and preparing claims, managing subcontractor accounts, and ensuring that the organisation’s contractual position is protected and optimised throughout project delivery.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate project works for interim and final payments
  • Identify and develop claims for extensions of time, variations, disruption, and additional entitlements
  • Prepare and submit claims, change orders, and payment applications, ensuring proper follow-up and recovery
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, including financial and contractual administration
  • Produce contractual correspondence, notices, and provide ongoing contractual advice to project teams
  • Support preparation of monthly valuations and contractor statement
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring alignment between planned vs actual performance
Your Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in contract or commercial management within construction
  • Strong experience on heavy civil / infrastructure projects
  • Solid understanding of the full contracting process and commercial lifecycle
  • Strong analytical, contractual, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working within site-based, delivery-focused environments
