Job summary

Clark Construction Group in McLean, VA seeks an experienced Civil Estimator to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for a variety of heavy civil projects. The role includes leading subcontractor coordination, reviewing drawings and specs, and guiding junior estimators.

Projects span rail stations, intermodal centers, and water/ wastewater facilities, with a base salary disclosed and a comprehensive benefits package. A strong client-focused, collaborative approach is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of heavy civil estimating experience
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
• Knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specs, proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates
• Develop estimates for Divisions 3, 5, 6, 31, 32, 33 on diverse projects
• Lead meetings with subcontractors to develop scopes and strategy
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor quotes for scope and qualifications
• Mentor and train other estimators in areas of expertise
• Support risk and contract management on bids
• Assist in achieving minority participation requirements
