Job summary

Posillico Civil, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead full estimating services for civil construction projects, including infrastructure and utilities. You will manage bid/proposal preparation with a team of estimators and support staff.

The role involves value engineering, CPM schedules, client presentations, and negotiations; expect to bid 25–50 estimates annually ranging from $5M to $100M, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring data backup for all estimates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.
10+ years in estimating, cost control or engineering in civil construction; at least 5 years estimating.
Ability to estimate diverse projects and coordinate/supervise team effort.

Responsibilities

Set up bids, price items, schedule bid activities and prepare data.
Incorporate productivity data to develop unit prices and man-hour estimates.
Provide conceptual budgets and final estimating inputs for projects.
Support discipline estimators with technical input and review specifications.
Attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and required contents of estimates.
Lead scope meetings with clients and construction managers; present VE and CPM schedules.
Lead formal presentations and negotiations with clients and managers.
Maintain bid documentation and track awarded contracts.
