Job summary

Pulice is seeking an Estimator in Austin, TX to prepare project estimates by analyzing specifications and contract plans. The role ensures cost-effective quantities and construction methods align with pursuit, schedule, and price goals.

The successful candidate will bring diverse ideas to build stronger, more resilient communities. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 1+ years of estimating experience, with beginner knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
1+ years of experience in construction, estimating, or cost control preferred.
Basic knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software.

Responsibilities

Review proposal specs and drawings to determine scope and contents of the estimate.
Incorporate historical data into unit and hour figures.
Provide technical input on project risks to the lead estimator.
Prepare discipline estimates with complete takeoffs and material quantities.
Monitor addenda and advise on changes during the estimate period.
Assist with design review options and cost-based recommendations.
Collaborate with the team for hand-off meetings between pursuit and project management.
Research vendors/subcontractors to meet pursuit and cost goals.
