Job summary

Posillico Civil, Inc. in West Palm Beach, FL seeks a Senior Estimator to lead full estimating services for heavy civil projects. You will coordinate estimators and support staff, drive bids, and deliver competitive proposals.

You will develop conceptual budgets, value engineering, CPM schedules, and present final bids to clients, targeting 25–50 estimates annually across $5M–$100M projects.

Qualifications

• 4-year civil or mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience.
• 5+ years estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Ability to estimate all project types and coordinate group work.

Responsibilities

• Bid item setup, data entry, pricing, scheduling and closeout.
• Incorporate historical data with manpower, equipment, materials and subs.
• Provide conceptual budgets and final estimating input.
• Support discipline estimates and review specifications and drawings.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and determine scope of work.
• Lead scope meetings with clients and construction managers.
• Present value engineering and CPM schedules to clients.
• Lead all formal presentations and negotiations with clients.
• Maintain bid files and data backups for estimates.
• Support pricing of extra work items and change orders.
• Assist contracting team during inquiries and evaluations.
• Train and mentor Junior Estimators.
