Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Significant experience in the environmental and solid waste industry.
• Superior problem solving and management skills.
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative for travel or access.

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting firms on solid waste facility work.
• Oversee permit applications, construction plans, site monitoring, and regulatory submittals.
• Maintain regulator relationships and act as liaison for technical issues.
• Represent WM in meetings, hearings, and site inspections.
• Manage landfill construction projects from planning to final approval.
• Coordinate budgets, bid processes, contracts, and QA/QC.
• Track capital budgets and report to management.
• Coordinate capacity tracking, airspace calculations, and cell construction schedules.
• Evaluate sites for compliance and expansion potential.
• Collaborate with WM professionals to develop engineering solutions.
• Provide direction to management and staff across departments.
