Job summary

WM is seeking an experienced environmental engineer to lead design and construction at solid waste facilities, coordinating with regulators and senior management.

You will oversee landfill projects, manage budgets and teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance while developing innovative solutions for customers.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 7+ years in the sector; travel to sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage engineering and construction at solid waste disposal facilities.
• Coordinate with regulators and represent WM in permit meetings and inspections.
• Oversee landfill construction projects including budgets, consultants, contractors, and bid processes.
• Manage capital budgets and reporting to local management and corporate processes.
• Collaborate with WM professionals to develop cost-effective engineering solutions.
