Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. seeks a senior Civil Engineer in Southern California to lead water resource facilities design and conveyance projects, including pipelines. The role requires a California PE and 20+ years in civil design, with experience supervising staff and delivering reports, plans, specs, and estimates.

The candidate will participate in business development and client meetings, contributing to office growth and a collaborative, technically driven culture.

Qualifications

• California licensed Professional Engineer.
• 20+ years of experience in general civil design including pipelines.
• Experience with detailed design, plans and specifications.
• Experience managing PEs and EITs with multiple deadlines.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and design expertise for water conveyance projects including pipelines.
• Develop scope, fee, reports, plans, specifications and estimates for multiple projects.
• Supervise engineering staff, technicians and other staff.
• Review and evaluate design and construction practices.
• Attend project meetings and work in a team environment or independently.
• Identify needs and support meetings with internal staff and external clients.
• Participate in and lead business development activities for office growth.
