Job summary

GHD seeks a Senior Civil Engineer for the US East Design & Delivery Organization to lead planning, design, and construction engineering across water, wastewater, utilities, and infrastructure with a focus on linear projects. The role supports diverse clients and global collaboration, with a hybrid work model and opportunities across markets.

Ideal candidates bring a PE license, 6+ years of relevant experience, modeling skills, and willingness to travel to project sites as needed to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
• At least 6 years of linear-focused project experience in water/wastewater/infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Client & customer management for projects with small to large clients.
• Participate in community of practice within defined engineering area.
• Perform engineering inspections to assess quality and integrity of works and plan remedial actions.
• Design engineering solutions and validate against specifications and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to drafting and evaluating engineering standards and specifications.
• Uphold Health, Safety and Environment policies and practices.
• Develop capabilities through training, certification, and ongoing learning.
• Assist in bid solicitations, proposals, and tender responses to win work.
