Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Central US region team. You will contribute to planning, design, and construction of land development and municipal projects, coordinating with multi-disciplinary groups across the practice.

You’ll lead site investigations, mentorship of junior staff, and collaboration with clients and stakeholders to navigate regulations and deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
• PE license preferred or ability to file for licensure within 1 year
• 5–10 years of land development experience, with linear infrastructure focus
• Familiarity with HydroCAD, SewerGEMS, HEC-RAS, and Civil 3D tools

Responsibilities

• Prepare site plans, reports, design drawings, and permit applications
• Develop land development plans and attend municipal meetings
• Design linear infrastructure (piping, forcemains, drainage)
• Navigate local, county, and state regulations and permitting
• Mentor and develop junior engineers
