Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects for mixed-use, retail, residential, higher education, and federal sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification; PE certification preferred.
• 3+ years of site/civil design experience, including site planning, grading, storm water management, drainage, and soil erosion.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and modification of engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans using engineering software and equipment.
• Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical data for planning and design.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other job duties as requested.
