Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Staff Civil Engineer in Cleveland, OH to lead planning, design, and permitting of civil, land development, and infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on experience in site/civil design for mixed-use developments and other land development projects within a continuous learning environment.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with EIT (PE preferred) and 3+ years in site/civil design, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification. PE certification preferred.
• 3+ years of prior relevant professional experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, storm water management, drainage, and soil erosion.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and modification of engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans.
• Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and data.
• Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other job duties as requested.
