Job summary

Matrix Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team across multiple US locations, with potential for a fully remote arrangement for the right candidate. The role focuses on site development for industrial facilities and requires PE licensure within 12 months.

The engineer will lead design work, prepare contract documents, collect field data, and support surveying and 3D scanning services. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 4–10 years of civil engineering experience.
• PE license required or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% local/daytime travel; occasional overnight travel.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency preferred.
• Knowledge of topographic surveying and 3D laser scanning preferred.
• Ability to self-manage assignments for multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Lead designs for site grading, site layout, stormwater management, and related site development for industrial facilities.
• Lead development of engineering contract documents (drawings, specs, installation scopes) using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MS Office.
• Lead gathering field data (hand measurements, surveying, 3D scanning, radar).
• Lead estimating material take-offs and prepare budgetary construction cost estimates.
