Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a technically driven Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join our infrastructure group. You will lead multidisciplinary teams on municipal water, wastewater, and drainage projects, guiding design, delivery, and client communication.

Based on the East Coast footprint, this role supports design-build and design-bid-build projects, mentoring junior engineers, and developing proposals while ensuring quality, safety, and budget alignment. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and 8+ years of progressive municipal infrastructure project experience.
• Experience managing water, wastewater, and/or drainage projects with municipal, state, and water district clients.
• Prepare construction documents including drawings, specs, reports, and cost estimates.
• Lead water/wastewater projects and mentor junior staff.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure design quality and technical accuracy.
• Review contractor submittals and RFIs during construction.
• Assist with site visits, field investigations, and occasional construction observation.
• Work with CAD designers and other technical staff on project delivery.
• Support business development and client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Work with multidisciplinary teams on PFAS treatment and conventional water/wastewater process systems.
• Participate in large-scale design-build and design-bid-build municipal projects.
• Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with public agencies and utilities to guide decision-making.
• Prepare and deliver engineering reports and construction documentation.
• Provide business development support and client presentations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Mentor and train junior engineers; support recruitment and team growth.
• Ensure all project work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
