Job summary

Tetra Tech, a global leader in water, environment, and sustainable infrastructure, seeks a Senior Water/WW Engineer (Civil PE) for the Boston, MA office. You will lead design and delivery on municipal and utility water/wastewater projects across New England and the U.S., with a path toward technical leadership and project management.

The role emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, client interaction, and mentoring of junior staff.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience in civil water/wastewater infrastructure.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree a plus.
PE license required; project design leadership and client interaction.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with Revit/InfoWater/InfoWorks is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to travel ~15%.

Responsibilities

Plan and design water/wastewater treatment, distribution and pumping systems.
Lead hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and civil design tasks.
Prepare drawings, specs, reports, and cost estimates for construction documents.
Mentor junior staff and coordinate with senior engineers and PMs.
Review submittals, RFIs, and perform field observations as needed.
Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams on project scoping and delivery.
