Job summary

HDR in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil/site design for diverse projects and to ensure high-quality delivery of plans and analyses.

You will plan, quantify, prepare specifications and contract documents, supervise professionals, and act as a technical expert while advancing HDR's employee-owned culture, innovation, and sustainable infrastructure across our communities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of design experience managing civil/site projects.
• PE license recognized for this location (US).
• Experience in project engineering and project management.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects.
• Conduct quantity calculations.
• Prepare specifications and contract documents.
• Perform complex assignments with advanced engineering techniques.
• Serve as a technical expert with authority in a specialization.
• Plan and develop projects with significant impact on company programs.
• Plan, organize and supervise work of professionals and technicians.
• Serve as a Project Manager on larger projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
