Job summary

Brandstetter Carroll Inc. in Lexington, KY seeks a Senior Civil Engineer, Principal in Charge with a strong civil design and project leadership background. The incumbent will guide complex projects, review CAD/Civil 3D outputs, and maintain client relationships while mentoring a team of engineers.

You will operate at a senior level, collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure project success, and travel as needed, including overnight stays. Hybrid work is available after 90 days.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil engineering experience with leadership or management responsibilities.
• Active PE license (or ability to obtain Kentucky PE via reciprocity).
• Experience reviewing CAD/Civil 3D plans and guiding project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects from planning through completion.
• Serve in Principal-in-Charge capacity with senior oversight and accountability.
• Manage and mentor a team of approximately six engineers or professionals.
• Provide technical direction and review civil plans and deliverables.
• Oversee project scope, schedules, priorities, and execution.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to keep work moving.
