Job summary

Core States Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager to lead diverse civil engineering projects from conception to completion, coordinating with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural teams to develop construction documents.

You will manage client communications, budgets, schedules, and QA/QC, prepare and negotiate proposals, mentor engineers and designers, and assess risks to ensure projects meet the highest standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• P.E. license preferred but not required.
• 10+ years of Civil Engineering Project Management experience in site/civil production.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects with multiple clients simultaneously, ensuring timelines are met.
• Serve as the lead point of contact for clients.
• Manage project finances including budgets and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.
• Lead project planning, resource allocation, and scheduling within parameters.
• Identify design criteria and oversee efficient design and plan preparation.
• Solve design problems using engineering calculations and standards.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines and external teams.
• Mentor Project Engineers and Designers.
• Follow QA/QC practices and look for quality improvements.
• Foster client relationships and pursue growth opportunities with clients.
• Participate in new client pursuits.
• Assess constructability and liability in design and construction.
