Job summary

WSP is seeking a Vice President Civil Engineer – CCR Landfill & Solid Waste Consultant for our Charlotte, NC office, with consideration for Asheville, Durham, Greensboro, or Wilmington, NC. Lead project teams delivering civil and environmental services for CCR-related waste facility design, permitting, and operations planning, focusing on strategic growth and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with NC PE registration.
• 12+ years of experience in civil engineering design, including CCR regulations for ponds and landfills.
• Familiar with the power market and client base.
• Knowledge of CCR ponds and landfills regulations.
• Proven writing and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for CCR/MSW projects and grow existing client relationships.
• Lead CCR/MSW project teams and set direction for project execution.
• Develop and present winning strategies for bids and contracts.
• Mentor team members and support pre-sales activities and proposals.
• Support long-term civil engineering growth and pipeline development in the assigned area.
• Manage project design teams as Engineer of Record, PM, or Project Director.
• Ensure profitability and on-time completion of projects within scope.
• Engage with Federal, State, and Local Agencies and clients.
