Job summary

Futures Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead land development and site design for commercial, residential, and public infrastructure projects in the Houston area.

The role requires a Texas PE license, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. You will mentor junior staff, manage scopes and budgets, and ensure compliance with local permitting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Texas PE license required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with drainage/stormwater, grading, utilities, and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design for land development, commercial, residential, and public infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review plans for grading, drainage, stormwater, detention, utilities, paving, and site development.
• Manage projects from initial concept and permitting through construction.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, developers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Review plans and provide QA/QC oversight.
• Mentor EITs and junior engineers.
• Assist with project scopes, schedules, budgets, and client communication.
• Work with Houston-area jurisdictions and permitting requirements.
