Job summary

WGI is seeking a Civil Project Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our land development team in Houston, TX. The role involves preparing land development and municipal designs for government and private sector clients, with projects ranging from large multi-year municipal programs to single-family housing developments.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field.
Five or more years of experience post-graduation.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required (or other professional registration/certification).
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full time basis; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Develop engineering designs including plans, profiles, cross sections, paving, grading and utility details.
Create engineering documents including storm water design reports, permit applications, and supporting calculations.
Generate engineering plans using CAD.
Perform construction quantity estimates.
Coordinate plans, calculations and specifications amongst multi‑discipline engineering teams.
Ensure designs, plans and calculations are complete and accurate.
