Job summary

CONSORT ENVIRONMENTS INC is seeking a seasoned Project Manager in Austin, TX to lead private land development projects and navigate entitlements, permitting, and site planning with a focus on local zoning.

The role requires a licensed PE in Texas, at least 6 years of civil engineering experience including 2 years in leadership of land development teams. You will mentor staff, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and drive quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
Licensed PE in Texas (required).
6+ years in civil engineering with 2+ years leading land development projects.
Experience with design/modeling software HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, InfoWorks, Civil 3D.
Strong communication and leadership skills; mentoring ability.
Entrepreneurial, solution-driven approach to challenges.

Responsibilities

Oversee all project phases: entitlement, due diligence, site planning, design, permitting, bidding, construction administration.
Provide technical guidance, QA, and planning to ensure high-quality deliverables on schedule.
Serve as primary client contact among project team, subconsultants, and jurisdiction staff.
Build a strong professional reputation through technical excellence and transparency.
Utilize project accounting software to track budgets and invoices.
Identify opportunities to streamline tasks and implement new tools.
Mentor junior staff and foster learning and collaboration.
