Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. seeks a Civil Engineer III to join our team remotely or in Richmond, VA. The role offers on-site preference in Richmond with openness to remote work, supporting complex land development projects.

You will lead and mentor engineers, coordinate with clients and agencies, and advance civil designs from concept to permit. A PE is preferred, with 5+ years in land development and strong software fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required at time of hire.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Five or more (5+) years of experience in the land development industry.
• Experience with Civil3D, AutoCAD and related design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction over other engineers and delegate tasks.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents for projects.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and sub-consultants on complex issues.
• Assist with permits, zoning reviews, and land development design.
• Prepare reports and design calculations, and support multi-project tasks.
