Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Washington, DC seeks a Civil Engineer III to lead complex land development projects and mentor junior staff. You will develop initial civil design concepts and coordinate with clients, agencies, and design teams to advance project goals.

You will review plans and specifications, assist with permits, and perform field investigations and calculations to ensure high‑quality deliverables. Eligibility for remote or hybrid work arrangements may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required at hire.
• PE license preferred; five or more years in land development.
• Experience with Civil3D and AutoCAD and related design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex civil engineering projects and guide junior staff.
• Develop initial design approaches for land/site development.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and subcontractors on projects.
• Review plans, specs, and cost estimates; prepare reports.
• Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Perform field investigations and design calculations as needed.
