Job summary

LJB Inc. is a fast-growing national engineering firm seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to manage a variety of land development projects in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience and either hold or be able to obtain a North Carolina PE within six months.

You will lead project management efforts, coordinate teams, and contribute to business development while mentoring junior staff and interfacing with clients and public agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• North Carolina PE required, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design a wide range of land development, public utilities, and private development projects.
• Lead engineering studies and design projects from concept development through construction documentation and construction-phase support.
• Manage task-specific scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support client relationship development and contribute to business development efforts.
• Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors and client managers.
• Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design and construction plans.
