Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Saint Paul, MN office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. You will perform site development engineering and manage residential and commercial projects in a collaborative environment.

This role emphasizes permitting, design, and coordination with clients, jurisdictions, and contractors. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required, along with PE licensure or plan to obtain within 12 months.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and project management tasks.
• Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to build plan sets and construction documents.
• Design experience including utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Projects will include a variety of land development site designs.
• Assist in research, coordination, project management, staff management, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance and bid packages, and technical specifications.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers on diverse projects.
• Build meaningful internal and external professional relationships and coordinate with contractors and jurisdictions.
