Qualifications

• More than 15 years of broad, progressively responsible architecture experience.
• More than 8 years of experience planning, managing and organizing people and resources within an established policy and governance framework.
• Master’s degree in architecture or equivalent education and experience.
• Professional registration or accreditation is required; commitment to obtaining credentials is expected.
• Experience managing multiple projects or a portfolio including budgets, schedules, quality, risk and stakeholder expectations.
• Strong people leadership skills and developing future leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple design teams, aligning resources, priorities, schedules and delivery expectations across a varied project portfolio.
• Direct the design and validation of complex architectural solutions that meet client, regulatory, quality, performance and cost requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering and business processes, using metrics and lessons learned to prevent recurring issues.
• Translate strategy and plans into team priorities, motivate people to achieve local and regional goals.
• Set performance objectives, oversee accountability and keep commitments on track.
• Identify development needs, coach team members and support continuing professional development and succession planning.
• Build productive relationships with clients and stakeholders, communicate solutions clearly.
• Support business development and strategic planning while fostering collaboration across offices.
