Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a civil/environmental/mechanical engineer to create and sign off on complex designs, including site layout, drainage, hydraulics, and water systems. You will guide junior staff and contribute to technical papers while collaborating with sales on proposals.

You will review drafts for regulatory compliance, mentor engineers, and may supervise project teams, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• PE license required with 7 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Mentors more junior staff and may supervise engineers on project work.
• Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals in response to RFPs.
• Performs site reviews to ensure designs align with location specifications.
• Updates design requirements as necessary.
