Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States seeks a Senior Civil/Environmental/Mechanical Engineer to lead design reviews and sign off on complex engineering projects, including site layout, hydraulics and hydrology, water distribution, and stormwater infrastructure.

You will mentor junior staff, support proposals, travel up to 40%, and help advance our engineering practices within a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license. 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Meets with current and potential future clients to review their design needs.
• Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff.
• Mentors more junior staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm.
