Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a licensed engineer to lead advanced engineering design work, including site layout, grading, hydraulics and water infrastructure. You will develop designs that meet regulatory and client needs while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering and a Professional Engineer license, with roughly seven years of related experience and potential travel both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• PE license and 7 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates and signs off on basic to highly complex engineering designs (site layout, grading, hydraulics, water distribution, collection systems, storage tanks).
• Reviews designs for compliance with regulations and firm policies.
• Collaborates with sales staff to respond to RFPs and reviews proposals for regulatory adherence.
• Mentors junior staff and may supervise engineers on projects.
