Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Civil Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer - Data Centers to join our Civil Engineering and Design team in the Environment & Health division. This hybrid role supports data center and large industrial projects from feasibility through permitting, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree (B.S. or M.S.) and 5+ years of experience, PE license preferred, and proven ability to coordinate with AHJs and manage complex site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering and approximately 5+ years of civil/site engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred, with ability to obtain licensure by comity in target states.
• Extensive experience with land development and site civil design for large, complex projects.
• Strong project management and technical expertise, including grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, permitting, budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination.
• Experience working with AHJs and leading multidisciplinary teams; familiarity with Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and land development services for data center and large industrial projects from site selection through construction.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, risk, client communication, proposals, and subconsultants across multiple projects.
• Direct technical work including site layout, grading, stormwater, drainage, utilities, access roads, erosion control, and permitting.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, agencies, and authorities while navigating codes and development standards.
• Review deliverables, mentor engineers, and contribute to client development and market expansion.
