Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Data Center group. The role focuses on site development, due diligence, and infrastructural design for large data center facilities, with multi-disciplinary collaboration and client-facing responsibilities.

You will lead feasibility studies, grading, utilities analysis, and permitting while coordinating with architecture, energy, water, and environmental teams. A PE license and 15+ years’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• 15+ years of engineering experience with site development and industrial projects.
• Experience with site feasibility, due diligence, and permitting.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead site development, grading, and master planning for large data center facilities.
• Perform technical due diligence for greenfield/brownfield developments.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across civil, architectural, energy, water, and environment disciplines.
• Prepare permitting packages and manage client communications at leadership level.
• Develop site selection criteria and scoring for investment decisions.
