Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Data Center group. You will lead site development, feasibility studies, and due diligence for large data center facilities. You will coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and prepare technical reports to guide client decisions.

You will review grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure, while collaborating with architectural, energy, water, environmental, and permitting professionals. A PE license and 15+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• PE license required.
• 15+ years of engineering experience with site development and industrial projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and site grading.
• Strong communication and leadership for multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Experience performing technical due diligence and site feasibility studies.
• Experience with hyperscale data center or advanced manufacturing projects a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead site development, master planning, and site selection for large data center facilities.
• Direct technical due diligence for greenfield and brownfield opportunities.
• Perform grading, drainage, utilities, and earthwork analyses.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across civil, architectural, energy, water, environmental, and permitting domains.
• Prepare permitting packages and review construction drawings and specifications.
• Produce due diligence reports and executive‑level recommendations.
• Support site acquisition, capital project planning, and development decisions.
