Woolpert, Inc. in Columbus, OH, seeks a Senior Civil Designer / Field Engineer to join our Energy Engineering Team. The role focuses on grading, earthwork, site access, erosion control, and stormwater, with 5+ years of civil/site experience preferred.

Office-to-field ratio ~75%/25%, civil/site design, and coordination with survey staff and contractors are key responsibilities. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant field and office experience.
• Experience with civil site projects and construction activities preferred.
• On a professional licensure track (PE, PS, BCSP, PMP, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Produce engineering plans and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Collaborate with engineering and survey professionals on site civil tasks.
• Manage project phases from survey to As-Built and construction support.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop expertise in site/civil design, hydrology, erosion control, and stormwater.
• Support field activities: data collection, site visits, client meetings.
• Perform QA/QC on plan sets, calculations, and drawings.
• Ensure grading and materials conform to plans and resolve deviations.
