Job summary

Woolpert seeks a Site Civil Engineer Intern to join our Civil Engineering team in Columbus, OH, with possibilities in other locations. This full-time internship runs Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with no visa sponsorship provided.

You will design site layouts, develop plans in Civil 3D, and contribute to hydrology and stormwater projects while traveling locally for fieldwork as needed. Candidates must be pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering, with 0–2 years of related experience and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Civil Engineering.
• 0–2 years related internship or work experience preferred.
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D is required or strongly preferred.
• Hydraulics and hydrology knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and create site layout plans aligned with client requirements and Woolpert standards.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs.
• Demonstrate interest and knowledge in hydrology and stormwater management.
• Multitask effectively, prioritize workflow, and meet project deadlines.
• Collaborate with the project management team to identify impediments and implement solutions.
• Conduct pavement assessments and compile data and reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
