Bohler’s Fairfield, CT office seeks a Senior Civil Design Engineer to support complex land development and site design projects. You will collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality site designs while applying expertise in grading, utilities, stormwater, permitting, and coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering required or related discipline.
• 5+ years of land development design and permitting experience (we will consider 1+ years for Design Engineer).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software; knowledge of zoning and permitting requirements.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills; PE license beneficial, EIT in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using Civil 3D and related tools.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
