Job summary

Bohler's Fairfield, CT office is seeking a Design Engineer to grow within a collaborative team shaping the future of land development in Southern Connecticut. You will support site design projects from concept to completion, working with engineers, project managers, and clients to create practical, buildable solutions.

You'll perform design calculations and drafting with AutoCAD Civil 3D, assist in preparing layouts for site, grading, utilities and stormwater, and contribute to permitting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of site design experience across residential and/or commercial or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and basic engineering design principles.
• Attention to detail and curiosity to learn new tools and methods.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management plans.
• Conduct research, prepare reports, and support due diligence investigations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to deliver coordinated design packages.
• Perform design calculations and drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Support permitting efforts with local and state agencies.
• Contribute ideas and enthusiasm to help solve engineering challenges.
